About Axias
Our name, Axias, is derived from Axia, the Greek word for value—our highest priority for client service and project delivery. Since our founding in 2013, we have grown to over 40 professional staff, expanded geographically, and broadened our scope of services. Amid this steady evolution, the consistent leadership of our principals has cultivated a skilled team committed to their craft, providing cost estimating, condition assessment, project management, scheduling, value engineering, and risk management services. Our team works with clients across multiple sectors, including federal, state, and local government agencies, educational and cultural institutions, and real estate owners and investors.
Certifications
Axias is certified through the Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certification program of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The purpose of this certification is to enhance procurement opportunities for SWaM businesses participating in state-funded projects.
Axias is certified with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) as a Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (LDBE).
Axias is certified by the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Office of Minority Business Enterprise as a Small Business Enterprise qualified to provide services under NAICS codes 236220 and 541611.
Axias is certified by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as a Small Business Enterprise in the category of Other – Construction Consulting Services. The certification remains in effect until February 16, 2025.
The Department of the Treasury’s Division of Revenue & Enterprise Services has certified Axias as a Category 1 Small Business. The certification is valid until December 28, 2027.
We maintain multiple certifications as a small business to support collaboration on public projects across various jurisdictions.
Axias is also self-certified as a small business at the federal level per the Small Business Administration’s size standards for government contracting eligibility pertaining to NAICS 541690, 541350, 541330 and 541310.
