The Littleton Public Schools (LPS) Explorative Pathways for Innovative Careers (EPIC) campus is an exciting project that will provide dynamic, interactive, and innovative programming in several career paths, including aerospace, business and entrepreneurship, computer science, construction trades, healthcare, and natural resources. This is a new facility type for LPS that creates new educational opportunities within the district while also building on elements of other programs that have existed. The facility is expected to be open to students in August 2023. The unique project includes the adaptive reuse of two existing buildings, a former automotive dealership and repair shop, and a COVID testing facility to create a facility that is not intended to function like a traditional high school facility but a balance between career education and a more professional environment. A plaza between the two buildings will be used for outdoor classrooms, with reused materials from the existing building as providing shade structures and support for solar arrays. Inside the facility, interior finishes create spaces that reflect professional industry environments while making the spaces engaging and welcoming for all students, staff, and the community.
Construction began on the facility in April 2022. Axias was engaged during the design states to provide cost estimating services at the schematic design, design development, and construction document submissions.
