The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) is a public body responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of two major airports in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). MWAA oversees the development, expansion, and maintenance of the airport infrastructure, including terminals, runways, taxiways, parking facilities, and access roads. This responsibility includes overseeing significant capital improvement projects to enhance airport capacity, efficiency, and passenger experience.
Axias provides cost estimating support as part of a team holding an IDIQ contract for project controls, project management, and contract administration services to MWAA. Our team has provided independent cost estimates for change orders, bid validation, and design phase estimates. Axias has supported projects ranging from electrical infrastructure improvements, airfield drainage improvements, concourse improvements, and airport mass notification systems.
