The U.S. Department of State Overseas Building Operations (OBO) provides state-of-the-art, secure, sustainable facilities rich in art and culture to support U.S. foreign policy and diplomacy abroad. In 2022, Axias was awarded an IDIQ Contract to provide value engineering services on OBO projects. This contract includes providing value engineering (VE) studies, planning risk workshops, construction risk workshops, cost estimating, life cycle cost analysis, constructability reviews, and facility performance evaluations on OBO projects at various worldwide Foreign Service posts and OBO offices in Washington, DC.
In addition to our work directly with OBO, Axias has provided cost estimating services during pre-design and design phases on projects under various Architect-Engineering (A-E) design services through Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. These projects have ranged from domestic assignments to renovations, additions, and replacement facilities at more than 30 U.S. consulates and embassies.
