Virginia Tech
Axias has been supporting projects at the Virginia Tech Campus in Blacksburg, VA, since 2018, working directly for VA Tech under an IDIQ contract for cost estimating and scheduling services and through A/E partners. Our work at Virginia Tech has covered different project types, including demolition, ADA improvements, BSL Lab renovations, and large-scale new construction projects.
Hitt Hall
A new addition to the campus, the building will include classroom space for the Myers-Lawson School of Construction and a 600-seat multivenue dining facility.
Mitchell Hall
A replacement for the existing Randolph Hall, the new building will be constructed within the building's existing footprint and will continue to serve the College of Engineering, adding 70% more usable space and a modern, sustainable building.
Cowgill & Derring Hall Accessibility Improvements
The project will provide an integrated and clear means of traversing the grade changes that exist in this area of campus and provide an accessible route between the buildings that currently can only be accomplished by lengthy detours through adjacent buildings.
Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine & Fralin Life Science Institute BSL 3 Lab Renovation
The project includes remodeling existing labs to create flexible animal suites and improvements to engineering controls and HVAC systems.
