What’s New at Axias: Highlights from Coast to Coast
The summer is off to a strong start at Axias, with several new projects taking shape across the country. In June, our condition assessment team began work on an exciting new contract supporting the New York Air National Guard in Syracuse in undertaking a comprehensive facility assessment using BUILDER SMS. We’re also proud to be kicking off cost estimating services for the new Federal Courthouse in Chattanooga, TN—a project that underscores our growing impact in the justice and civic space. Just outside our front door in Alexandria, our local team is diving into the renovation of the Alexandria City Hall, a landmark project in our own community that we’re thrilled to support.
In Florida, our office remains a hub of activity. In addition to ongoing work with NAVFAC Southeast, we’re expanding our footprint with new projects at the local government level, most notably on the new Pompano Beach City Hall and Parking Garage. Higher education is also a key sector, with current projects at Florida State University, the University of Florida, and the University of Central Florida.
Up north in New Jersey and New York, healthcare has been a focus, supporting some of the region’s most prominent institutions with cost estimating services. We’re continuing work under a standing contract with a major university healthcare system while also taking on new efforts with New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the NYC Health + Hospitals System.
In Georgia and the Carolinas, our teams are on the move. From courthouse and airport assessments to public safety facilities, we support communities in Transylvania County, NC, to Gwinnett County, GA, and beyond. Projects like the Gwinnett County Airport and public safety buildings in Sandy Springs, GA, and Polk County, SC, are great examples of how our work impacts everyday infrastructure.
And out west in Colorado, our Denver team is managing a steady stream of cost estimating work with the City of Aurora while also overseeing residential developments in Beaver Creek. There, we’re helping to manage exterior renovations and roofing upgrades for two townhome communities, keeping residents safe and their homes weather ready. Colorado also continues to be our hub for work with the National Park Service with 11 new projects already in 2025. Contributing to the preservation and improved accessibility of some of America’s most treasured landscapes is a highlight for many of our team members.
From city halls and courthouses to airports, hospitals, and homes—Axias is proud to be helping communities plan, budget, and build smarter, more resilient spaces for the future.
