Procurement Advice

As a firm of professionally qualified chartered surveyors and project managers, we are often called upon to provide advice on general contractor procurement. We have consulted and published articles on the different aspects of construction manager at risk, design-build, construction manager as agent, integrated project delivery, engineer-procure-construct, and how each relates to the traditional design-bid-build method. Each presents advantages and challenges; we consult on the budget, quality, and schedule implications of making that selection.

Another area of specialization is providing contract advice associated with change order clauses. We address such concerns as owner protection in the event of change orders; allowable mark-ups for overhead and profit; basis of pricing; requirements for vendor quotes; treatment of credits; and so forth.
