The Wharf reestablished Washington, DC, as a waterfront city and destination. When Phase 2 is complete, this remarkable, mile-long mixed-use development along the Potomac River will encompass 24 land acres and 50 water acres.
The massive revitalization project contains offices, residential buildings, hotels, restaurants, retail, and 14 acres of park and public spaces. The developers, Hoffman-Madison Waterfront, have been committed to delivering a sustainable project. Seventeen parcels comprising the southwest waterfront are registered with USGBC for LEED certification. To date, three achieved LEED Gold and another received LEED Silver certification.
Axias worked on the first phase of The Wharf, which opened in October 2017.
